50th ANNIVERSARY PROGRAMME

Following the survey of members a few months back, plans for Trianon’s 50th Anniversary year are progressing well. The planning team have been working hard while drinking copious mugs of coffee complimented by luxury chocolate biscuits. To compliment Trianon’s three main concerts the additional events will include –

Music in the Community – potentially 4 small scale interactive concerts taking music into venues such as St Elizabeth’s Hospice and Elderly People Homes

Garden Fete – to be held at Henley Community Centre on the Sunday after the Trianon’s 50 th birthday concert in September. This will be an informal event involving food and drink (inc. Hog Roast!) plus musical busking, entertainment stalls and memorabilia. It is intended to allow past and present members and their families to socialise on hopefully a pleasant summer afternoon and evening.

Mystery Tour – scheduled for early July, this will follow a previously tried and tested recipe involving a coach trip around a secret and cunning route with various stops and tasks to complete, ending with a hearty meal at a local pub.

Book and DVD – a book to compliment Trianon’s 40th Anniversary publication by covering the key events of the last 10 years. The book will be accompanied by a DVD containing photos of Trianon’s concerts and events over the past 50 years plus key material set to music.

Community Concerts – scheduled for Feb and May plus an Evening of Celebration to be held in November.

FRIENDS OF TRIANON MUSIC GROUP

With the approach of the group’s 50th anniversary next year, we are keen to contact as many former members of TMG as possible, to let them now what is happening to celebrate the anniversary.

Maybe you can help by letting me have contact details of any past members who are known to you.

We had a great deal of interest from past members during our 40th anniversary year, and some have stayed in touch with the group by becoming Friends.

We always want to add to our Friends list – in fact Chris has suggested that we should try to double it during 2009. Can you help take up the challenge? Contact me: Maddy Rhodes 01394 448549.
